Drain blockage procedure is normally a pre-requisite requirement in GFSI accreditation, specially for high care and high risk environments where the risk of environmental Listeria monocytogenes is greatly increased if special measures are not put in place in the event of such an incident. Similar to glass breakage procedure, the area must be cordoned off and positively released before normal activity can resume.
