A term sometimes used to describe a full plant shutdown and deep clean to eradicate any environmental Listeria.
This involves a full shut down of the plant, the high care / high risk area and sometimes both sides of the barrier. It involves an area being fully deep cleaned, and afterwards restricted so that any product, wheels, vectors going back through (or boots) have been fully deep cleaned also. After the firebreak a series of Heat Map swabbing is essential, to ensure the root cause of environmental Listeria is understood.
