
Antioxidant, as categorised by Food Standards Agency. A natural substance that when added to food functions as an antioxidant. Normally a food product, usually a fruit, has gone through an extraction and drying process to utilise E300.
There can be a GMO risk associated to this, depending on the origin of the material of extraction. Normally food manufacturers carry a COC to prove that there is no GMO risk. Also known as vitamin C.
Added to many food and drink products as an antioxidant, eg apple juice.
