Peanuts

One of the 14 allergens as classified by the EU. Different to tree nuts, peanuts grow underground and are part of the legume (peas, beans, lentils, soya) family. There are 13 allergens belonging to 7 families of protein in peanuts. Like nuts, one of the most prevalent of the allergic reactions in the western world. Obvious peanut containing products i.e. peanuts butter, also – Ice creams, chocolate, sauces, Vegetarian food products.
