
Usually used as a thickener or stabiliser. A modified starch. Normally made from modified maize or corn starch. Undergoes a process of extraction, therefore a processed and not a natural ingredient. However, it is non- allergenic. The ‘modified’ means the food product has undergone a process of purification and does not pertain to GMO.
Used primarily in categories – #C11. Canned/Glass/Plastic Ambient and #C10. Ready Meals, Sandwiches and Desserts
