
The tunnel part of a foreign body detector where the product passes through and is foreign body detected. The smaller the aperture the more sensitive the detection. Best practice is to have the outfeed of the aperture sealed off to restrict access to the conveyor, this stops undetected product from being placed on the line past the detector (and therefore not being foreign body detected.
