
A process step where control measures are required to be put in place to control the hazard, however a further process step down the line will control or eliminate the hazard, therefore it is this step that is the CCP. Or could be part of the PRP. For example in drinks, a bottling operation, a filter may control the foreign body hazard, however, a further filter, final filtration will also control or eliminate the hazard.
