Document Control

Ensuring that documents are managed appropriately i.e. using document numbers, version numbers, issue dates and authorisation. All documents that form part of the QMS and due diligence defence should be document controlled. This control is subject to GFSI audit scrutiny, it demonstrates management controls. Additionally, the wrong document version can have consequences on food safety, for example if the set point of a CCP changes from one version to another.
