
Organic chemicals (catalysts) within cells that facilitate the change and absorption of food in the body. Used in cleaning or in product as a function, that act as a catalyst to a process. Some cleaning products can contain enzymes to help break down certain complex soils e.g. fats, oils and proteins so they can be more easily removed. Lipases break down fats and oils, while proteases work to break down protein chains.
