Mass Balance

Conducting a traceability to establish the location of an entire quantity of product. This could be raw material, work in progress or finished product. And balancing the item and batch received (or used) can all be accounted for. Mass balance checks on packaging may also be required especially on packaging with certain claims, certain scheme logos or promotional packaging. This would be to confirm that packaging with a certain claim or promotional message was not used on regular product.
