A laboratory technique used to detect Listeria at a genetic level – i.e. the exact strain. This will give the recipient 100% information regarding Listeria movement on site and root cause. Only should be used sparingly and if a site has absolute certainty it is at a deep understanding or root cause level of environmental Listeria.
