
This is the term used to describe, in chilled products mainly, the time of day the production day starts. For example, in short shelf life products like sandwiches, the night shift may come in to make product at 10pm, and the UB code on the product at 10:01pm will give it the full shelf life as it is made at 12:01am, the next day.
