Nut Pod

The Nut pod refers to a completely segregated area of the factory, away from the rest of production. This is to eliminate the risk of cross contamintion of nuts to non-nut products. All parts of this must be part of the handling nuts risk assessment and should include some of the following:

People flow, PPE, air flow, material flow, waste flow, process flow, changing areas, engineering tools, utensils, colour coding, wash areas, Cleaning personnel all must form part of the risk assessment.
